Some things we want to clarify first are the legal requirements, safety precautions of restrictions, and any minor policies we have to include for volunteering. There is an active ongoing recruitment for events in town that you have to apply for and upheld by legal constraints. We need to undergo that process of standard and maintain external solutions with the creation of by-laws. What are we going to do as our group mission in helping people that have not had the best support systems thus far and how do we protect ourselves during this time to prevent abuse of our group services, time, and commitment to events?
Personally, I want to create this group as a social network for reputation and reliability of productive time. To raise money is fun, doing it with people you enjoy being with and laughing with - even better, and for the betterment of the community overall makes it less personal (since we are not licensed professionals). It will inform us of changes in law, create responsibilities within its community members in participation, and inform community members of actions they can take to help prevent further damage or disparity financially. Overall, it is a great opportunity to reveal the effort and work it takes to create safe neighborhoods and reliable community members.
Proposed Mission Statement: Create fundraising events that emphasize community involvement, awareness, and participation with town services and raise expectations with personal contact to create personal support networks.
